Itinerary
Day 1: Flight - Delhi to Kathmandu / Arrive Kathmandu

Assistance upon arrival at the international airport & transfer to hotel.

The city of Kathmandu is located on a bluff at the confluence of the Bagmati and Vishnumati Rivers - an easily defended site with rich soil and a plentiful water supply.

Rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: In Kathmandu - Sightseeing

Today morning after breakfast, we will proceed for the sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple & Bouddhanath Stupa. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Patan Durbar Square.

Pashupatinath: This is Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the subcontinent’s great Shiva sites. It expresses the very essence of Hinduism as pilgrims, priests, devotes, temples. The temple’s origins are obscure, an inscription dates from 477, but a shrine may have stood here for 1000 years before that.

Boudhanath: This great stupa is one of Nepal’s most distinctive monuments and one of the most important Buddhist sites in Nepal and, with a diameter of over 100 meters, amongst the largest in the world. There are a number of legends accounting for the stupa’s construction, but it is generally believed to date from the 5th century.

Patan Durbar Square: The finest display of Newari urban architecture in Nepal. There are temples devoted to Shiva, Krishna, Ganesh and Vishnu all actively visited by residents and visitors. The courtyards of the Royal Palace with their ornamented windows, columned arcades, shrines.

Day 3: In Kathmandu

Morning after breakfast leave for the sightseeing tour Budhanilkantha Temple. Afternoon continue sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath Stupa & Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Budhanilkantha: The Budhanilkantha statue of the Hindu god Vishnu, located approximately 10 kilometers from the center of Kathmandu at the base of the Shivapuri Hill, is the largest and most beautiful stone carving in all of Nepal. It is also the most enigmatic carved from a single block of black basalt stone of unknown origin, the Budhanilkantha statue is 5 meters in length and it lies in a reclining position inside a recessed tank of water (representing the cosmic sea) that is 13 meters in length. Called the Sleeping Vishnu, or Jalakshayan Narayan.

Swayambhunath Stupa: The most ancient and enigmatic of the Valley’s holy shrines the golden-spired stupa of Swayambhunath tops a wooded hillock. Records of its history date as far as the 5th century, but its origins are believed to be older.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: It is in the heart of old city Kathmandu in Basantapur. There are around 50 temples in the vicinity. 17th Century Durbar complex and Hanuman Dhoka, temple of Kumari (living goddess), Narayan Mandir, Maiju Dewal, and Kasthmandap a wooden temple built from a single tree, Shiva Paravati temple, great Bell and Drum, Bhairav and Taleju Temple.

Day 4: Drive - Kathmandu to Nagarkot (32 Kms / 1 - 1½ hours)

Morning after breakfast drive to Nagarkot via sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur Dubar Square - The Palace of 55 Windows built during the period of King Bhupatindra Malla in 1754 situated to the left as you enter through the city gate, inspires admiration. After visiting continue drive to Nagarkot & transfer to hotel.

Nagarkot is a scenic hill station in Nepal's Bhaktapur District, is known for its incredible Himalayan views, particularly of sunrise and sunset. The altitude of Nagarkot is 2175 meter above sea level. Evening, witness sunset over the Himalayas. (sunset subject to weather permit/conditions on that day).

Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Drive to and departure transfer to Kathmandu Airport / Flight to Delhi

An early morning, witness sunrise over the Himalayas. (subject to weather permit/conditions on that day). Late morning check out and drive to Kathmandu airport to board the flight for onward journey.
